Hello, everyone! I'm home!! And I'm fine !!(I'm sorry for being late for writing my blog)Of course,Chris & Shone are also fine!! lol

After I arrived at Narita airport, soon I went to Haneda airport by the bus.
And I went back home (Ehime prefecture)by the plane.
Because of the jet lag, I was briefly sleepy and hungry in strange time.

I still didn't find what I went back Japan. But after I slept on the Tatami and I went for a walk around my home and saw rice field, I finaly found.

Then, I spent a few days in playing with my friends (went to the sea , played bowling, etc...)and watching Olympic(I was very excited by Softball!!),etc....

Of course they were interesting, but they were what I have been doing for a long time.
Because days I spent in maryland were very very very exciting and interesting , now I'm leading a dull and monotonous life:-(

This trip is my treasure. I experienced and learned many things from this trip.
I do appreciate your supporting me:Nikki, Joe, Mike,Heather,Nina!!

I miss you:-(:-(:-(

I definitely go back to Maryland to meet you soon!!

Finally,I also do appreciate AGU members. Thanks to you, this trip was really wonderful and brilliant. You were very kind and funny guys!! :-)

Last Day

Yesterday, first we went to the Hornbake Library. We saw the very old books such as Matuo Basyo’s poem & learned how to preserve these. It was interesting.

Before the lunch, we went to the bowling, I was bad at bowling, but Nobuya was the worst. lol

Afterwards, we went to the supermarket and Target (which is very large shopping store!!)

I bought many kinds of souvenir.

We ate dinner near there. And next, we played Batting & Putt Putt. I was really excited these.I played Pat Pat with Mike and Ryohei. Mike was good at putt!!!

Me?.........................don’t ask me.lol

Today is the last day we can write the blog and can do something here.

I experienced many many kinds of things!!! All of these I can remember!!

I really don’t want to go back (as I wrote yesterday)………………..

But, I have to go back, so, I decide to enjoy today !!!!!!!

BABY INVADES THE WHITE HOUSE?

Yesterday, first we went to the capitol building, there are a lot of sculptures and pictures there. It was really interesting, but as I didn’t study the world history well in my high school days, I didn’t know most of exhibitions. I wish I had studied the world history more……

Next, we went to the White House. There were many people around there.

I really wanted to take a picture: BABY in ‘WHITE HOUSE ‘.

So, I was very happy. I really want to show you the picture, so, when I come back to Japan, I’ll show you!!

On the way back to the hotel, my baby became the part of the trash…. I was very sad :-(

Because my baby was not out of place with the trash…..lol

Except for that, it was also funny days!! It is pity that we have to go back to Japan in two days!!

I don’t want to go back to Japan!!!

Are there any ideas which I need not to go back to Japan? :-(

Yesterday, first, we went to the VOA (Voice of America). It was interesting to me, but my headphone didn’t work well, so I wanted to listen the navigator’s guide more.

Next, I &Ryohei & Masatoshi& Senpai & Tomoya &Joe ate the lunch. The FOOD I ate was very very delicious!!!(I forgot the name).

We guys formed “Team D’ (D is dangerous)

After the lunch, we went to the Nikki’s house. The house was so very big that I felt as if I were in the fairy tale. In the house we ate the hamburger or hotdog or potato salad, played pull, basketball, pin ball, Wii etc….

What I was most surprised was Nikki’s special drink.

The drink was very tasty and SPICY. Thank you Nicole!! lol

And thank you for your introduction of my babies to your family.

Any way I had a great time there so I didn’t back to the hotel.

Today, I have to write the diary from Aug. 7 to Aug.10.

Aug.7

That day, we went to the IDB and met Mr.Yasusuke Tsukagoshi who si Executive director for Japan. His speech was interesting. And we saw the conference room and I sat the IDB representative’s seat. I felt very good.

Afterwards we went to the National Zoo. We saw so many animals. But my favorite animal was armadillo. I wanted to take his picture, but as he moved back and forth again and again, I couldn’t.

Aug.8

That day, we went to the AVAM (American Visionary Art Museum).

But, I and Lisa were so addicted to the souvenir shop that we couldn’t see the exhibitions.

I used 128$ for the souvenir. (Risa used 150$!!! lol)

But I bought the very CUTE SWEET NICE COOL AWESOME babies. Their names are Shone and Chris. If someone wants to see them, I’ll show. (But don’t be afraid like Nikki)

Next, we went to the Camden Yards and watched the baseball game.(Orioles v.s. Texas rangers) I and Lisa bought the Orioles’ T-shirts and cheered Orioles. May be thanks to us, Orioles won by8-1. The fire work which we saw after the game was very beautiful.

Aug.9

That day we went to the NMAI (National Museum of the American Indian) & National Air& Space Museum. These buildings were so big that I couldn’t see all the exhibitions but, it was very interesting.

Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and some members ate dinner some members played volley balls. After we finished playing the volley ball, I &Ayumi&Ryohei went to the Chinese restaurant next to the 7eleven and Satomi ordered the Taro smoothie and I ordered Orange To-fu.

Surprisingly, Orange To-fu was very delicious but…………lol (I and Ayumi didn’t like it but Ryohei liked it. I think he is American. lol)

After we ate, we played cards. Ms.Ayumi showed us the card magic. It was really good!!! When she shows someone it, don’t miss it!!! lol

Aug.10

Yesterday, I went to the National Museum of Natural History.

Many exhibitions excited me!!(Especially very big topaz!! It was very beautiful.)

After we went back the hotel, some members met I and Ryohei’s friend (Steve & Jeff) and ate the steak I ate very thick meat!!

Afterwards, we went to the Steve house (his house is very big!!) and played Jenga and cards. When we were playing the cards, as Joe was taking a nap, we draw the picture on his face. It was really funny!!!

We had a very good time!!!

Yesterday, we had Heather’s class. We were divided into each department and we discussed the topic (Beijing Olympic, Virginia accident) from the each department point of view. It was difficult for me to inform our opinion in English. I thought I have to brush up my English skill.

After the class, we went to the Newseum, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Newseum is too big to see all of exhibitions, but I saw many kinds of thing such as American old paper, 9.11 exhibitions. Before we left, I bought the many kinds of items in the Newseum store as a souvenir such as paparazzi figure, president card, space food etc…It was very interesting!!

Afterward we ate the Chinese food for the dinner, and Nikki’s group went back the hotel and played the card game in my room with Nikki, Chris, Aimy and Nyshan who are Nikki’s friends. (I’m sorry but, I don’t know their correct spell)

Nikki taught us American card game such as ‘Mafia’ and ‘Spoon’

‘Spoon.’ especially excited us. I was poor at this game. I was named ‘Pig’ by Nikki lol.

Any way, I had a very very funny time!!!!

Yesterday morning, we had a Marie’s class. She talked about international politics, and my department is international economics, so it is a little difficult to understand. But it was interesting story.

In the afternoon, some members went to shopping with Joe and Mike and some members stayed with Nikki and played.

I stayed with Nikki. We went to the volleyball court at the University of Maryland and played volleyball with Nikki & Chris who is her friend.

After the short practice, the game began.

It was seesaw game, so we were very excited!!! As a result, Team Grass (my team) won by 2-1!!!! By the way, Nikki named Team Grass after Nobuya.

He was always on the ground lol.

After the sports we went to Nikki’s house and enjoyed pizza party.

As I wanted to do home party like American dome drama, I was really excited!!!

I had a great time!!

The"C"

Yesterday, Professor Kazuo Yaginuma brought two classes of UM JAPAN students to meet us. I and Ryohei had a lunch with Steve & Jeff. I ate pizza first time in America. It tasted really good!!

Then, we went to the hospital because of my injury which I hurt in Japan (I was sorry to had kept Ryohei, Steve, Jeff waiting so long.)And we went to smoothie shop. I bought “Angel Food “(contains strawberry and banana). It tasted very delicious!!

During lunch, smoothie shop, we chatted many kinds of things such as differences of education, driver’s license, manga, animation etc…(I found Jeff is a little Otaku haha .)

Any way we had a good time!!

After we left Jeff & Steve, we went to Kennedy Center. And we ate Sushi in this town.

Some sushi was good but, some sushi had a strange taste lol.

Then, we went back our hotel and went to CVS. I and Ryohei bought the spray to win the “C”. Yesterday we encountered “C” in our friend’s room. His speed was so fast that he was a great trouble to me.

But , from now on we are Ok! We can win him!!

energy drink is too dangerous

Yesterday, first, we went to Alexandria. When we went to the church, we could sit the seat which George Washing was sitting. I was very happy to sit there.

Next, I walked around Alexandria with Heather and Marie’s group.

Of course, although architecture in Alexandria was very beautiful and excited me, Candy store really excited me!! There were many many candies I have never eaten there, so I was confused to choose the candy.

After the candy store, we went to Marie’s favorite restaurant (I can’t remember the name). I ate Crab cake which is famous for Alexandria and pineapple & shrimp salad.

Both of them tasted really good!!

After the lunch, we embarked on the boat and experienced the boat ride. The view from the boat was very beautiful, I took many pictures.

After we got to the George Town, I went shopping and had a dinner in Fridays. It was delicious but I was so tired that I didn’t remember its taste.

But it was also funny day!

Finally all I want to say today is that American energy drink is too dangerous to drink Japanese!!!

Saturday night, I was sit up late until am 7:00 with Ryohei & Risa because of the energy drink.

Great noodle

Today is 8/2 in AUG. Yesterday, we arrived at Maryland in Washington DC.
After we got the airport, 3 mentors (Mike Nikki Joe) and two teachers (Nina Heather) and big bus welcomed us!! Because of the heavy traffic jam, it took 2 hours until hotel, but
we weren’t bored . Because the passing views from the bus window were really excited us!! We could also see the White House.
After we arrived the hotel , I went to the dinner with Joe & some friends.
We went to Noodle shop. I asked Joe’s favorite menu , and ate it (noodle of Thailand).
In Joe’s blog , Joe said everyone ate noodles with relish. But he told a lie!! Joe’s favorite noodle I ate tasted very very specialy lol !! .But I don’t mind , I want to try something to new . Thank you Joe!!
After I returned the hotel, as I was very tired, I soon slept.
It was very funny day!!
